How Columbus Started

In 1994, after completing his military service, Mohammad Harfouch embarked on a journey of craftsmanship, honing his skills in bag sewing from the experts, renowned for their expertise in leather and apparel.

Little did he know that this would mark the beginning of an extraordinary venture?

Three years later, Mohammad, along with his brother Mahmoud, found themselves serving in the Lebanese forces. Later on, a colleague approached Mohammad with a request for a custom gun holster, igniting a spark of innovation. Drawing upon his military experience and newfound sewing expertise, Mohammad crafted the holster, setting the stage for their entrepreneurial ascent.

Recognizing the unparalleled quality of Mohammad's creations, Mahmoud took on the role of chief promoter, leveraging his connections within the force to spread the word. With demand soaring, the duo seized the opportunity and established Columbus in 2005, offering a range of meticulously crafted military wear and gear from a modest shop in Tripoli.

Fueled by their unwavering dedication, the once modest shop blossomed into a thriving two-story factory, birthing new products designed to meet the evolving needs of their clientele.

Today, the Harfouch legacy lives on, with their durable and functional designs adorning not only military personnel but also outdoor enthusiasts drawn to the unparalleled quality and craftsmanship of Columbus products. Their story is a testament to the power of passion, perseverance, and the relentless pursuit of excellence.
